Prayer

This is a prayer time at a recent Saturday afternoon in the mentoring program. What is so beautiful about this is that it is coming from the families in the program.

Each mentor shares their life and testimony with the families, but they are also very aware that the church has hurt people in this community. While the mentors believe salvation and discipleship are the ultimate goals of the intentional relationships, they never wanted to force families into another church activity.

Because the mentors did not force anything, God’s timing allowed for the initiative by the families to begin a prayer time at their Saturday activities. Patience makes room for God to move, which is more powerful than anything forced by human hearts and minds.
